Deworming Schedule for Murrah Buffaloes
Internal parasites (worms) cause 'pot belly' in calves and drop milk yield in adults.
Calves
- 1st Dose: Day 10-14 of age.
- Up to 3 months: Every month.
- 3 to 6 months: Every 45 days.
- Thereafter: Every 3 months.
Adults
- Deworm at least twice a year (before monsoon and after monsoon).
- Always deworm pregnant animals 2-3 weeks before calving (consult vet for safe salt).
