Deworming Schedule for Murrah Buffaloes

Internal parasites (worms) cause 'pot belly' in calves and drop milk yield in adults.

Calves

• 1st Dose: Day 10-14 of age.
• Up to 3 months: Every month.
• 3 to 6 months: Every 45 days.
• Thereafter: Every 3 months.

Adults

• Deworm at least twice a year (before monsoon and after monsoon).
• Always deworm pregnant animals 2-3 weeks before calving (consult vet for safe salt).
